Prerana R. Bacon - Associate

Prerana R. Bacon earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Wayne State University. Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Bacon worked for more than ten years as a project manager/engineer in the automotive and construction industries. She is a 2006 graduate of Wayne State University Law School. During her legal studies, Ms. Bacon interned for the Honorable Gerald E. Rosen of the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan. Since graduating from law school, Ms. Bacon has zealously defended commercial and personal line insurers with a primary focus on claims and cases involving fraud and SIU investigations. Ms. Bacon’s engineering and project management background, coupled with her passion and advocacy for fighting insurance fraud, has translated into a proven successful track record for her clients. 

Ms. Bacon gained invaluable insight and experience while working as counsel for a local automotive manufacturer, in-house counsel for a national personal line insurer, and for insurance defense firms before joining Moblo, Fleming & Watt, P.C. in April 2015. She has extensive experience in high exposure insurance litigation involving issues of solicitation, claimant fraud, and healthcare fraud. Ms. Bacon has represented no-fault insurers in affirmative recovery actions filed against healthcare providers and facilities. She has served as a guest lecturer on Intellectual Property and Ethics and Whistle-Blowing and as a moot court judge for Wayne State University Law School. Ms. Bacon is admitted in Michigan State and Federal Courts.

Ms. Bacon loves to cook, and has often contemplated competing on the next Food Network Star. When she’s not working, you can usually find her reading foodie magazines or watching cooking shows on TV.
